Stories and myths, music, dance, crafts – all the parts of cultures that make places and people different, and which provide the strong sense of identity that is at the core of groups coping with social change.
We create management plans for historic and cultural places, and for groups that are managing change in those places. Change is inevitable, and careful management of change is essential so that people do not lose sight of where they have come from and therefore have a better sense of where they are going.
Further steps often involve analysis and reporting, including the production of client reports and perhaps papers or books for other professionals. We also produce publications, museum displays and other material for the public, along with education in schools, public heritage and capacity building for local and national government.
Our commitment to public engagement with cultural heritage means that we try to make as much of our work as possible accessible to both our clients and other stakeholders. We provide interim reports and public presentations, and we’ll use social media for project updates. Of course we will always respect your need for commercial confidentiality. All of our work is designed and undertaken with the goal of helping you to achieve your goals, by first understanding your goals and then understanding other people’s interests and finding solutions that are based not upon ‘either / or’ but are truly synergistic so all parties benefit.
